I just changed my inner hub seals today, and was wondering what the proper touque is on the castle nut(the very last nut you tighten). I tightened mine, but I think the right side is just a tid bit too tight. Is there any damage that can result from a hub that's just a bit too tite? How do you guys adjust yours? Isn't it like 100 inch pounds? I was just wondering what the proper procedure is.

Thanks.

P.S. Sorry to load you guys with questions. I appreciate your responses.

Front Hub Bearing Adjustment
Torque spindle nut to 160-170 in-lbs. while rotating hub continuously.

Back off nut 1/2 turn.

Rotate axle several revolutions by raising rear of machine and rotating rear wheels with the machine in gear.

Re-torque hub nut to 108-144 in-lbs.

Install cotter pin.

This is straight out of the Polaris manual for Sportsman.
