Help with Helix's!!
#1
I think I understand the affect different primary and secondary springs can have on clutch engagement, shifting and backshift etc., but what I don't undertand Is how do the numerically different helixes affect these things. How will a 48/40 react versus a 42/36? On a compound helix what do the two numbers represent? Is a compound helix preferable to a single angle helix. I ride a heavily laden 350L at high altitude (up to 9000 ft) and use the factory single angle 40 helix. What would give me better performance and why? I see HotSeat performance makes a compound helix for high altitude 42/36. Does anyone have any experience with this type of helix?
Thank You all for your help!!!
