Just put on a 60-inch Moose plow but this plow is heavy and realy slams down the front springs and limits the ground clearance. Any ideas, I was thinking about putting on diffefent springs to make it stiffer .

Just do a search on here using "springs" and you will get more info than you want. The progessive springs mentioned above are great from what I hear, but cost around $170/pair I think. You can do what I and several other people on this forum have done and install the factory front springs for the 6x6. All you need to do the job is a 3/4 inch wrench and a 3/8 inch wrench. Takes a couple of hours at the most. I really noticed a difference right away. Besides, they were only $25 each. During your search look for a post by prospector. He posted some step by step pictures that I printed and used and they were great. Only you do not need the 1/4 inch wrench on the 2001. Use the 3/8 instead. The original 98s must have been a little different, but the new ones he installed required the 3/8 wrench.

I just installed the 6X6 springs on mine (polaris Part # 7041450-067), for the same reason. They cost me $50 CAD.
They were a little hard to get the top nut off, but after that, it was easy. Just having a problem now because one side is stiffer then the other. But I'm sure it's just something I'm over looking.
Good Luck

PAT

I too installed the Polaris heavy springs to mine, about $25 each and easy to install. It made a whole new machine out of it, steering and handeling. I have winch, cargo box and a 250lb. big butt.

I dont have anything heavy up front on mune but i was thinking the front could be little stiffer. Do any of you put the heavy springs on just for a more sporty feel?
