take off your airbox if you dont ride in alot of water and put a clamp on on the carb, that's a great mod you can pick up a uni filter (it filters more than a K&N on a carb.) for about 20 bucks. then you should jet it, after you install the dg exhaust you mentioned. I did this to my 400 scrambler when it was running and it made a huge difference. I know alot of people dont agree with the airbox removal, but it's a nice trick.

You could leave the air box on and remove the lid.
Under the lid there is a black tub that extends down
threw the middle of the air filter. You can cut most
of that tub off. Leave about an inch. Then get a K&N
drop in air filter. A clutch kit cost about $80 dollars
and will help your pipe out. They are pretty easy to install.

Thx Talon,

Due to there being only a couple of polaris dealers in New Zealand, could I just find a filter that fits or would I need a specific filter to suit trail blazer...

You could contact HPD at www.hpd-inc.com and get the
Twin Air drop in filter #TA156100C cost is $35.95.
Or HOTSEAT PERFORMANCE at www.hotseatperformance.com
and get the K&N filter #PL-1001 cost is $42.95.

what i mean is you could take every bit of the airbox off and serve the same purpose *** what he is talking about maybe even get better airflow cuz it woul be a little more in the open, either way you do it it's going to be vulnerable to water, all you would have to do it measure the part of your carb that is connected to the airbox, and go to any atv dealer and tell them what you need, and that measurement, and youre finished, just slip the filter on the carb and tighten, and youre done.
