Hey you guys, I'm 14 years old, and have a 2001 Scrambler 400. It's stock except a pro Design kill switch and some reel soft grips. I'm really close to buying some cheap bolt-on mods for my scrambler. I think I'm gonna get a AAEN Top-End Pipe, 250 main jet, and a pipe-tuning clutch kit. What do you guys think I should get. Does anyone have these mods? if so, how do they work?

I'm new to the forum, but would like to get to know some people. I do my research and know my mechanics, even though I am young, I know just about every part, and how to fix it on my scrambler. anyone live near Dallas, Texas?

Check out HPD or RCR, you can build from mild to wild.

I don't know why, but I don't like HPD. I just heard about RCR the other day, are they reliable? How much speed does there top-end pipe put out? AAEN'S says it outs 10hp and 500rpms more. Does anyone know anything about, Dyno Port? Thanks.

Shotgun....way funny closing comment. Adam, I have an Aaen top-end pipe hanging in my garage. Don't know why you don't like HPD. This is the home of horsepower. Rick Ritter handles their products also. The Aaen pipe is flat, then hits. The HPD pulls ALL the way. Darrell (HPD) has a lot of research into his setup. One big tip also is to use the clutch mods from whoever you buy the pipe, engine mods from. I know I am especially guilty of sounding like a broken record ad for HPD, but some of us have learned the hard way and "wasted" lots of money. Do yourself a favor (and your bank account) and use HPD for engine mods, and Hot Seat for suspension mods. Ask any question, no one knows everything, but the people here (most of 'em)are here to help.

Good Luck,
Ken

Hey Modquad, I guess I never really looked over HPD's products, so I went there, and they look nice, and The numbers are great, if they're true. But the race pipe, which I'd get is $300, then there's a clutch kit, and Jetting, and other stuff with shipping'd be near $400 dollars. I looked at Ritter Cycle, and there pipe is good priced, is it and good? anyone have it? Hey, and I never hear anyone talking about the coolest mod I've seen for a scrambler, the AAEN 470 big bore kit. What did you say was wrong with your AAEN pipe.
