Bought a sportsman700 this week. Yesterday I went to the dealer to pick it up thinking this was the machines that would meet my needs (mostly work). Problem was the dealer had a 6X6 ranger on the floor (first time I ever seen one) and well I decided to go forthat instead. Ya, I know 67 would be nice but if I want to go that fast I'll hop on my Banshee. Besides, my young daughters can now enjoy this great sport as well, strapped in until they are old enough to ride quads on their own.

Anyone know how these things perform in the mud?

I do understand the love of speed. You can see in my signature that I have a modified Scrambler along with my 6x6. I've topped out my 6x before and it is fun. But who cares if it tops at 50 or 53? Like I said, I just find it all very humorous. Oh, and riding a 700 like a "sport-ute" doesn't make it a sport ute. It's a ute, like it or not. I've jumped my 6x, but I don't claim it's a sport. LMAO.

Hey, if you can throw it around, why not. I'v seen sp500 owners winning tight-woods against kodiaks. I think rider skill is important for tight-woods alot more than how the machine weighs. Now, yes why would you want to go fast on a ute, FOR FUUUNNN!!!! Plain and simple. No one can stand here and say that they wouldn't a faster machine. You buy for exemple a sp335. YOu bought it for light work. Than you realize that this thing can also trail ride. than you realize that it's not fast enough. YOU DON"T CARE HOW FAT IT IS, all you know is that it's not fast enough. so you buy a 500h.o. THis one is faster, and probably good enough for any situation, but your buddy just bought a 660 and he whips you on straights. Yep you guess it, you go out and buy a 700. What I'm trying to say is. As long as you can ride it, you always want it to go faster, in general. That 335 was probably good enough, but he wanted something more.

Thanks for listening to my blah blah blah

P.S guys like me, want lawn tracters to have speed!!!

And all along, the Polaris reps are just smiling because there is more money going into their pockets from the upgrades! Their marketing techniques worked and you were suckered into buying their top of the line machine.

PITB~
I understood what you were saying...just throwing out some fun. Why on earth would I want to go faster than my DS 650 can move my A$$? Because speed is addicting. I started with a 400 Scrambler and moved up to a DS 650. Now do I need to put a pipe on my DS? Hell no...it's already one of the fastest machines made. But do I want to pipe it? Hell yeah! I always want to go faster! There will always be somebody faster...like the snowmobiles I will be riding with this winter. It's sad to say it, but they will make my DS look slow!

OK WIscrambler, I'll give you the benefit of doubt and let it slide.
