i was wondering if it is safe to run my polaris magnum without the spark arestor. alot of people with racing atv take them off, but i was just wondering if anything would happen. because i was afraid that carbon monoxide would come out or something. thanx..

If you are running the stock muffler, then you cannot remove the spark arrester. It is built into the muffler. Also, running without a spark arrester is illegal on public lands, so be careful.
Power increase will not really be felt without any other mods.
If by chance you are asking about emoving the whole muffler, I wouldn't. It would actually cause you to loss power, would be very loud, and would hurt the engine in the long run.
If you really would like more power, I suggest buying an aftermarket muffler for your quad, it is the best and safest way to do it.

I wasnt going to take the whole muffler off but i was talking about that little screw that you can take off on the side of the stock exaust muffler.

That screw is for cleaning out the carbon in the muffler. It has nothing to do with the spark arrestor. You also would not gain any horse power out of it.
