I have a 00 Xplorer 400cc ATV.

Someone in these Forums, whom I cant remember, said that for around 100 bucks,we Polaris owners can switch over[upgrade]ALL three of our pre-2002 BRAKE PADS and DISKS over to the newer style 2002 ones.Thats a great deal and something I'd like to do to my Xplorer.

Problem is,I called my dealer and he has no referance to this or any part numbers.I was wondering if anyone has any information about this up grade? How about a part number I can throw at my parts man?

Thank you,
Bill

Bill,

Get a 2002 Polaris ATV catalog, and look in the accessories section. That's where I saw the upgrade. The brake pads are supposed to last 5 times as long. My 2001 Xplorer came with these pads from the factory, and while they do seem to last longer than what came on my '99 sp500, they don't hold up 5 times as long. I do, however, think it is definitely worth $100. I must have misplaced my catalog........otherwise, I'd look it up for you.
