Make sure you let the engine warm up completely before taking off and gassing it. A good 4-5 minutes. One tank of gas is all it needs for breaking in. Take it easy on the first tank.

SportKod that's good advice. Also vary the throttle to keep engine from running at the same RPM for amount of time and avoid wide open running on the first tank. Take breaks often to let motor cool down and then run it some more. That seems to help break in too.

Somthing I forgot: Make sure oil level had dropped to verify that oil pump is working.Check the clear oil line for air pockets, if so then bleed oil pump. Do this on the first tank because dealer adds oil to gas.

Make sure your dealer put the extra 12oz. of oil in your gas tank in case oil pump has air in the line. This will save your engine from a melt down. Burning the extra oil will not hurt the engine. I have done this on all three of my 400 Polaris two strokes. Also check your oil reserve after your first tank of fuel to check and see if the oil injection is working.

Make sure your dealer has made the necessary carb adjustments for cold weather riding.
