Oil will run into the airbox if it gets tipped over. It will also show up there if the oil level is overfilled.
Check the air filter good, so oil didn't hurt the element, ride it around like normal, and if no more oil shows up, you will be fine.
Also, if the machine was brand new, it isn't uncommon to find oil in the airbox until the engine gets fully broken in. It usually is caused by excessive blow-by pushing oil out the vent. An engine with a lot of wear will also do the same.
