I know I've seen this before but I just didn't pay attention since my '98 Scrambler 400 4X4 never breaks (knocking on wood). I 1st noticed my idle came up on it's own, then I didn't have to push the little yellow button for full speed reverse.

I can't seem to find anything obvious, anyone been through this before? My dealer would probably laugh and blame me. But I really don't ride it that much since I have 2 ATVs, it might have 1000 miles on it.

Just to make sure I wasn't real clear, my front wheels get no power so it's now a 2X4 instead of 4X4. The AWD light works by the switch, my battery has been out for awhile. Since I don't ride it that much I didn't want a new one, could that be it?

I'll have to get the repair manual I guess, but could it be a lose wire or something I don't know about?
