In my Fourwheeler magazine when they tested one they said it was "grossly underpowered and had more understeer than a boat"........If they wanted to keep it a "real" truck I think the shoulda left the straight-axle underneath the front end....Oh well, to each his own, or something like that

I kinda thought that too. I have a 2000 Dodge with the Off-Road pkg. The new 1500's seem car like to me. The 2500/3500 that get released this fall look promising as they still have the solid front axle & the new 5.7L Hemi motor is rumored to be 345HP/365lbs of torque.

since they were going to sell me fully loaded 4WD for a price of 2WD/ $23999/.They have 7years/100000 miles power train

Hey colt77. Please, please, please let me know what dealership is offering that deal. 23999 for a brand new fully loaded 4x4 Quad cab, that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. If you can do it get me 2 or 3. LOL

Thanks guys,the dealer is in Downers Grove/Chicago west.suburbs/.I am serious,that's what they said/'bout 4x4/, when I questioned 4x4 for a test ride, since I came for 4x2.
My wife's Jeep Cherokee 6.cyl./225lb torque/ has no problem with my steel trailer 5x15 w/ATV's on it. Ford Explorer sport with 236 lb. of torque is terrible.
It is a difficult decision/I put around 1000 miles a week over the summer on my hauler and the gas price could be 3 dollars /gallon ,if we start messing with Arabs....?????

Hmmm, underpowered?, seems like it have more power than my old 318 did. I like the way the truck handles too, a lot better than the 2000 we had.
We have owned every brand out there, and liked dodge the best. The ford was a peice of crap.
