What color spring?

I want to put a HPD Trail pipe in with the stock muffler. I know to get the full effect of the pipe, I should get a clutch kit. The only problem is, I don't want the engagement much higher then stock. Is there a spring that I could put in that will give me a near stock engagement and still get the full use out of the HPD pipe?

Sorry if I sound like I'm stating the obvious. If you bought your pipe from HPD, they will know the operating characteristics of the pipe (best RPM) so give them a call, the'll hook you up. One thing that resonates throughout the FAQ's is stay with one shop, and your level of satisfaction will probably be greater. Just my opinion....HPD for engine mods, and Hot Seat for suspension stuff...a few exceptions on either side of that view.
Good Luck,

Hey, Call Rick Ritter at 1-618-644-3211 and get his stage 1 kit, and ask him to take out the muffler and get a HPD trail pipe with it. This is exactly what I did, and the price is about $265 I run this setup, and It works great. For that price, you get a Pipe, Air-box mod kit, Uni filter, and clutch mods. I wish I would've got the Muffler too, and paid $325 for the Kit. Call Rick, real nice guy, or check out the kit at www.rittercycle.com but don't e-mail him, he's a phone person. E-mail me if you need anymore help.

I had the exact same request as you did. I called and ordered the Hpd Trail pipe from Rick Ritter and asked him the same question you asked here and he set me up with a Polaris Green Primary spring. He seemed to know just what I wanted. This guy is the ticket for customer satisfaction from what I here and from what little contact I've had with him.
