Here is Ramsey's web site they sell the mounts for the 700 that will fit both Warn and Ramsey winches. Their mounts are much stronger than the Polaris/Warn mounts and cost the same. I just installed mine two days ago and let me tell you, it is a solid piece! You can order from them online and they have very quick shipping. Here is the site. Ramsey Winches Go to the Ramsey online store and search ATV mounts.

SilverV10,

What winch did you install on your Ramsey mount?

I am going to install a Warn 2500 on my 700 and if the Ramsey mount will work on a Warn winch I will order one. Also, Was it a "clean" install? {no grinding, slotting holes, etc.} THANKS, Dale

I used the Ramsey 2500 series ATV winch, but the brackets will work with the Warn also. The mounting holes are elongated to accomodate both brands. People on another board I read on have used them with the Warn 2500 with no problem. The install was clean. It was a straight bolt on. No drilling or grinding. The instructions were a little vague, but doable. I could do another one in half the time....you know how that goes.

SilverV10,
Thanks for the winch info. I should have everything I need to install mine by the weekend. So far I haven't needed a winch, but I know that there will come a day when it will pay for itself. I have gone through some REALLY SERIOUS MUD without any problems, but I think IF... I mean WHEN I get stuck, it's gonna be..REAL STUCK!

fbird,
Sorry about hogging your thread.

The dealer told me that Warn will not be making a winch mount until next yr, which i still cant figure out why they wouldnt do that. I will be calling Warn in the morning to see if thats true, I will just get the ramsey one for now.
Thanks

Warn told me that they will not be selling a mount for the 700 for another couple of monthes. Trust me, the Ramsey is better.
