Scrambler Hood
#12
The lights for the Scrambler 400/500s are only 35 watts each (yeah, they look brighter) but I see no problems even if they were 55 watts each. The stock 150 (for the 2 stroke)watt stator should pull the 55 watt bulbs with no problems.

The low beams are 35W and the highs are 55w, But my manual shows all the 400's run the 150w stator so anyone wanting to upgrade anything short of H.I.D lights should be in good shape

When you take the time to check out the Polaris manual. There are momentary loads and constant loads. To error on the side of caution, the $75 Ricky Stator charges for changing out your 150 watt stator for a 250 watt stator is a real bargain. Just like removing your oil injection (besides wt savings) it's one less thing to worry about.

I took the time,Thats what I was getting at, After reading my manual and talking with Parker Yamaha & Polaris the 400 sport and the 400 4x4 scrambler both use the exact same stator, So if you upgrade to the dual lights you dont need to have your stator re-wound for the Polaris lights

Why does the 500 use a 250 watt and the 400's use a 150? What does 500 need the extra juice for? I just took off my factoy lights and went to a set of hot lights ( auto driving lights) I think they look cool, my friends say they look like bug eyes.
