My friends 300ex has a kill switch that doesnt work and you bust your @$$ when you wheelie and then have to chace the quad while its rolling on the grab bar.

Man I hate to say this, but IMHO those safety (breakaway) switches are pretty much a moot point on Polaris non-EBS machines. On a regular quad, you have compression braking to slow the machine down if you "bail". On Polaris machines without EBS if you "bail", you have just let loose a missle that won't slow down until it hits something. I know that the rules for the GNCC state you must have one on, but I am in serious doubt as to the effectiveness of one in actual use.

That's a good point Mike, I'll have to remember to hit the brakes before I bail or fall off. (This isn't a dig at you, Just joking.) It's actually a point I didn't think of. It really is a waste of time on a Polaris. But if I want to race, I'll have to waste the time.

I think what there real intent was for GNCC was in the case of a stuck throttle(sp?). Quad rolls down a hill and bends handle bar pinning the gas. To kill the engine so a run away quad would not get into a spectator area.
