I don't think you will find the 400X on the web POLARIS web site
Here is a link that has a Picture of most of the SPECIAL EDITION BIKES

There is very little Diffence in trailriding between the 4x4 and 4x2 Scrambler IMHO, unless, you are in Deep mud or Snow then the 4x4 is best suited. I have riden Both. The 4x2 is about 40Lbs lighter I think (I AM NOT FOR SURE ON THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCES).
Just so you know the stock 400 4x2 Scrambler after MY2001 comes factory with Aluminum wheels, Along with 2002 500X 4x2 and 400X 4x4.

No, Sorry
Lighter is better
I am not Positive about the weight Differences.
I don't think you will be able to tell a big difference between the two in stock form at the Dunes. If you do not plan I getting paddles,I like the 4x4 better. If you plan to do ALOT of dune riding and not snow or mud get the 2x4 and Paddle tires. I like My 4x4 ,but I have not done much snow (DAM MICHIGAN WEATHER) and I am not a big fan of mud (I guess I am getting OLD), So for me I am finding that the 4x2 would have been just as good, and cheaper.
