Chain Guard on Scrambler
#1
My chain guard, you know, the black plastic one on the bottom of the swingarm fell off, thats right, fell off. Is it okay to keep it off, or should I put it back on. It has been off for about a month, and so far, so good!! I have a moose swingarm guard also, and it doesn't bother it.
Another question, tommorrow I plan on taking my swingarm guard off, and drilling quite a few holes in it to let water out, and to loose weight. Good idea, or not?

Adam, most will run w/o the guard after doing a lot of mods. Even if the chain starts tagging either the swingarm, or the guard, you can install squares of teflon for them to skip across. I've got to get around to some drainage holes also. Also to save some wt. you can remove (if you haven't already) those heavy brake rotor and rear sprocket protectors.
Just my 2c,
