Been meaning to get one of those 410 pistols for the Grouse standing mid trail. To be taken during season with a license of course. Nothing like launching on the trail only to get the "Dah" look from a couple of birds in the road. Anyone ever mount up with paintball guns on the quad and have a war....hmmmm maybe a new bracket idea with pushbutton firing. Anyone hits a tree doing this, I'll totally deny the idea!!! lol

Interesting to read the different ideas, and views of the areas people live in. Really defines FREE COUNTRY!!

Now the paintball thing sounds like a fun idea! Ideally you'd have to switch the throttle over to the left side so you could fire on the run.
I actually read an article in a motorcycle magazine about a guy who di dthat in WW2 on his motorcycle so he could shoot while on the move. Had a throttle and clutch on the left bar.
This could be a whloe new sport. There are some great sand pits around here that would be perfect for it. (No trees)

A point to remember, You cannot shoot at wild game from a veicle (four wheelers)included, and for you folks in New York, you cannot have a handgun unless you are a Police Officer. They slap your hand very hard if they find you with one, better be careful what you post. See Ya

To Slinger Wrong attatude with the kids I've been around guns since I was 6 and now I'm 26 you have to teach the "kids" Responsabilityand to respect a fire arm. With that you will have responsible adults that know how to handle a fire arm. My self I always have a Taurus 357 snub and ported with me at all times not be cause I am scared or afraid but as stated already it is a tool theat I can user if my life is ever Threatened or that of my family or the ones that I love. To me it is like the pocket knife that I always carry. I am an Eagle Scout and have worked and ran the ranges I am also a NRA Certified Pro Marckman. My one rule is though that the gun never leaves the holster unless it is going to be used. I won't even take it out if a friend wants to see it. Come out to the range and you can see it if you are interested that much.

Vermont I have been told has no concealed weapons permit required any LAW biding citizen is free to carry a weapon. Ever look at there percentage of crimes it is the lowest in the nation. Gee I wonder why.

Proud to be an American and a GUN owner.
Teach the children proper gun saftey so they to will have a future.

Probably because there aren't that many major urban areas. They have a very rural population compared to NY or CA.
Just a guess.

DCROC Your wrong you can carry a pistol in NY if you have a permit . I've had mine for years , you can carry in the whole state just not NY city. A permit runs you $120 takes about 6 months to get so they can do a back ground check on you, then pictures are taken and finger prints. The permit is for life unless you commit a felony crime or domestic violence then they take it away.If you live in NY city and have a gun (rife or pistol) your in deep $hit unless you have a NY city permit which only security guards , bank depositer, shop owner , ect can get.

Jeez, I walked down to the neighbors, threw a 20 dollar bill at him, and had my permit the next day............When I go riding I always go with friends, and around here there's no fear of hoodlums, but when I go to camp I bring my Ruger Redhawk .44Mag w/ red dot scope......Looks pretty intimidating, but that's mostly for in case of a rabid 1 ton moose or somethin'.......My friend has a double barrel 12-guage sawed off enough so a 3-1/2 inch magnum shell sticks out of the end, and sometimes he has that in his back pack, but you need to be damn close to something for that to do any damage............And as far as shooting someone for stealing something, I would hold them up with the gun so I wouldn't have to run after them, then beat the **** out of them (as long as he ain't too big)

You guys have to realize, the anti-guns don't know want to realize that if they were to outlaw guns, the people that we dont' want to have them, will still get them. So all we have done is taken the guns away from the people that use guns in the way the law permits. The law breakers will still get them, and now they will not have any reason not to use them on me while they are trying to rape my girlfriend, or kill me, just because I have no gun to protect myself with. I have been around guns my whole life, my first gun was a 410 single shot when I was in elementary. I know how to use a gun and obey gun laws. I'm not going to be another statistic by letting some guy shoot me to take my wallet, or take my girlfriend's neckless that I saved for a year to buy her, she won't take that thing off. I'm not going to let someone just take what I worked my while damn life for to get, it's just not gonna happen. If they want a damn neckless, work for it and buy one, it's so easy to walk into a store, put something in your pocket and walk out, but you didn't earn what you took. It bothers me that most of us on here work real hard for our money, and our quads, to be able to go enjoy ourselves after 5, 6, or even 7 hard days at work. My quad serves as a get away from everything, from the everyday stresses. So by no means am I going to let someone take that away from me, they are gonna have to try damn hard to get it if they want it.

When I'm riding?

It's either my stainless Ruger 454 Casull or my stainless Ruger Mini-14.

Newfiebullet~

You'll hate this, my mini also packs 40 rounds a clip.
