I just bought a 1995 polaris magnum 425, and the 4x4 button does'nt stay in, as far as I know this is the only problem except if you take off riding straight the front left tire will engage into 4x4 at anytime and jerk you off the road. Does anyone know what this could be? Please help!! my e-mail is bigtom0029@cs.com

One of your hubs is sticking. Drain them, clean them, and fill them with Mobil1 ATF fluid. Then say goodbye to the problem.

In an earlier forum we discussed the armatures having residual magnetisum in the frount hubs. By all means take apart clean and refill the hubs. The armature is a flat washer in side the hub next to the actuator coil. If the previous owner used four wheel drive alot or left it turned on all the time the armetures get magnetized and the hubs will engage at random. new armatures are $5 each at your dealer.
