Question on tire sizes?
#1
Changing the rubber on my 'ol Scrambler 4x4. I was looking at the gear ratios and tire sizing.....noticed that even though my rear ratio has been changed from 14/42 to 12/42, the rear wheels spin faster than the fronts. I assume this has something to do with the "on demand" 4x4 operation. My problem is: I want to run BearClaws on all 4 corners, but the size I need is not available for the front. The machine calls for 22x12x10 rear and 23x7x10 front. The closest Bearclaw size I can get is 22x8x10 for the front. Has anyone run this combo? Are there problems?

I have seen the 22x8-10 Bear Claws on the fronts of many Scramblers (22's on rear, too). I don't think you are going to hurt a thing. I am going to do that, myself, if I use Bear Claws.
My wife's Scrambler has Spider Tracs on the rear (22"
with stockers on the front and the Spider Tracs are much shorter than my 22" Titans on mine. Those sizes are rarely exact. Your slippage amount is not that sensitive. I would say if you stay within an inch on the height, you will be fine. I have done the math, as well, on the ratios, just as it seems you have done and was once concerned.
By the way, the 8" Bear Claws look awesome on a Scrambler.
