Fox Strut Installation Help Needed
#1
Hi! Guys.
I'm installing the Fox struts from Polaris on my '99 Scrambler 500. It has the long travel front end. Upon disassembling the first stock Sachs strut; I noticed that the shaft threads on the Sachs are larger than the Fox strut threads. As you may know; there is a special nut/spacer that holds the spring down onto the strut. I cannot use this nut now that the Fox strut shafts are smaller diameter than the Sachs. What has anyone here done in this situation?
I'm betting that this nut is a factory item only. Thanks!

Thanks! She weighs in at 320 lbs. now. The bike now sports Polaris Freedom Series plastic and custom seat. It also runs on nitrous instead of alcohol now. The swingarm is a custom chromoly piece by AZ Bad Boys.
