Well now the front AND back bumpers are made in china. At least for the rear square tubeing they are. The ones that are made in canada are for the round tubeing that also fit the sp500. My dealer called late yesterday afternoon and said the FRONT bumpers are in for the 700's now. I'll be going down to pick it up when they open along with the atv. We'll see if they got the carb adjusted right on the second try. He says he has already gotten several calls from customers complaining about the bumpers being made in china.

VeryPicky,
All of the part numbers and information on the rear bumpers came from a Polaris to their dealers memo last November, which my dealer gave me a copy. It makes no mention to the part number you are referring to. Perhaps the new made in China part number bumper has a manufacturing flaw. Since all four holes do not line up, perhaps you could have him try to order the part number I provided in my earlier post and see if it is available.

You must have misunderstood my post. I said that all 4 holes DID line up. In fact I have since installed the bumper, took 7 minutes.( My wrench was made in china too). I also picked up my 700 at the dealership along with the new front bumper. It took me 17 minutes to install the FRONT tube bumper ( borrowed a craftsman wrench from neighbor). It is also MADE IN CHINA. The bumper not the wrench. It appears that since last november, when you got the copy of the parts memo from your dealer, polaris has obviously changed the styling on the tube bumpers for the 700, along with the manufacturer. I also mentioned this in one of my previous post's. At any rate, both front and rear tube bumpers that I purchased ARE the correct bumpers and are now installed. I am still not happy that they were made in china, but they do look good. You may want to make your dealer aware of the the new, most current part #'s for the 700 if he is not already aware of it. Please re-read one of my earlier posts and you will see the description of the bumpers I have. Do yours match this description? But then, if we all have bumpers, who cares? As long as the paint doesn't start peeling off of mine, I will tell everyone that they were made in the U.S.A. Just kidden ya!! Here are the part #'s for (it appears to be) the most current tube bumpers for the 700. Thanks for your help.

I installed my front tube bumper today. The box does say "made in china". It has the extra bend in the top tube, unlike my rear bumper. I added some pics of it {clean and muddy} to my photo site, if ya'll want to take a look.
MAYBE ONLY THE BOX IS MADE IN CHINA!

sportsman43,
I have the Warn 2500 winch and mounting kit.
The box says...."Warn ATV winch & mounting kit,.. includes:
A2500 Winch-2500 lb. Capacity
Roller Fairlead
Mounting Kit
All hardware,switches, and wiring
I purchased it from my polaris dealer and installed it myself.
It is easy to install and works great. EVERYTHING you need
comes in one kit {except tools}. The Polaris part no. is
