Just wondering where and how everybody mounts the GPS units to the handlebars. I have a Scrammy and aftermarket bars with a crossbar. My wife gets a 30,000.00 Explorer Sport Trac and I get a 120.00 Garmin GPS.She let me go to the store in it today though.

Hmmm, maybe I will stay single.lol Ronnie, I think I saw a unit at either Dennis Kirk, or Rocky MTN ATV for handlebar mount. Watch out for sticker shock, I remeber seeing one for almost $80 once. It would be out to the Elfin workshop before I would drop that...I think that's only $10 less than the budget GPS I bought.

Ordered my Ram mount last week for the Garmin e-trex venture, should be here tomorrow. www.gpscity.com I was amazed at the amount of stuff they have and since its in Nevada there is no sales tax. I shopped around alot and they were the cheapest. Stick with the stainless steel mounting u-bolt, it won't rust and better looking.

I went to Wal-mart and got one of those cheap plastic cell phone holders that hang, ($2) cut the hanger on the back off, glued some rubber in it to make the gps fit snug, put a couple rubber bands around it so it won't pop out, and drilled a couple small screw holes to mount it. Put it either on your crossbar, fender, or pod. Its cheap and works great. Mudden in Mich.
