Cut off the floorboards, aluminum wheels, new pipe, clutch kit, remove battery, remove steel chain guard disc, lighter swingarm, remove skidplate, aluminum bumpers, lighter tires, lighter handlebars, drill out some un needed parts on frame, etc.

For all of those mods that blazer mentioned and maybe a few more he didn't, you're probably looking easily between $1,500 and $2,000. Tires and rims alone will get you to about $400, pipe, clutch kit, and silencer will cost about $475 all together, nerf bars bet $100-250, swing arm about $250-350, handlebars about $65, bumpers about $100-165....The list goes on. So you see, depending on what you feel for priorities and the "cosmetic touch" you want to add to your machine...better open your wallet.

My Sport is 387lbs!!! The floorboards, starter, starter bracket, air box, oil injector, bunch of plastic, replaced some metal in the swing arm with chromoly, and all brackets that aren't used are removed. I have aluminum rims, nerf bars, aluminum handle bars, chromoly steering stem, Krom-lite front bumper, aluminum foot pegs, and aluminum skid plate. I also added HPDs race pipe and silencer....big weight difference over stock!! My MX 400 Sport

Just a thought, I could be wrong, but since you have a 4x4 Scrambler, there already is a few aluminum parts on your quad. Break out a magnet, and check the front bumpers (you can strip the powder-coating and polish them)the floorboards...but nerfs do look a whole lot better, and wheels. Not sure, but I think some of them came with some light rims....maybe that was just the "X" model. Another easy mod, if you are handy, or know a good fabricator, is changing out the lower trans mount to a 1/4" titanium unit. It's easy to remove for the pattern, and I think it was a savings around 3lbs. Hotseatperfomance.com has some pics of the nerf installation. Their's are spendier than fabbing the Banshee bars, but they look a whole lot nicer.

Good Luck,
Ken Thompson
