Just wondering. It's setting behind a fence, and I really don't have a use for it anymore. It's just the frame, no swing arm or struts, or anything like that. I was offered $150 for it, but didn't take it due to the fact I thought I might need it someday. But since I'm selling my other sport, I thought it might be time for it to go. What do you guys think I should ask for it??? Is $150 enough.

Well, I don't know how much it weighs, but I'll figure that out here in a couple of days when I have to move it.

And not to sound like a dummy, but what the difference with the concentric & nonconcentric frames? Tell me what to look for and I'll tell ya?

walexa,
No we didn't make it there. Gary bought a new truck, and didn't want to miss opportunities to make $$ for the payments. Plus me and Matt would have missed a whole week of classes. Speaking of Gary he sold the 300ex and bought a 86 250r. This thing is just plan sick!! And half the reason I'm selling my 400. I WANT ONE!!! I'm looking hard for one right now. I'm hoping to find one for $2000-$2300 that needs work. Gary got a lot of extra parts when he bought his. Oh and Austin bought a modified 250x on a 250r frame. The suspension on it is sweet too.

Here is a pic of Gary's 250r & my 95 Sport.

That's cool about Gary's 250r. I bet it runs good. What oil is he using in it? Has he raced it or anything? Currently, I'm modifying my Xplorer into a monster mud machine. I'm extending my a-arms 5" on each side, along with a total lift of 8.75". The longer a-arms allow me to add the lift without my tires cambering in at the bottom. I'm also extending the swingarm so I can add more lift without shortening the wheelbase. When all is said and done, I should have around 22" clearance under the frame. Anyway..........

The concentric frame began I think sometime in '98, although I think the official year was '99. The main difference should be a large hole (for the concentric), close to 1" diameter, where the swingarm is attached. I think the older version, non-concentric, used smaller bolts to mount the swingarm to the frame. Maybe somebody with more knowledge will reply.

walexa,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, been kind of busy. The guy who sold it to him uses BlendsAll (the spelling is probably wrong!) So thats what Gary is going to use in it. He hasn't raced it yet, because the stator is going out in it. It still runs good though. And he wants it to run perfectly before taking it out to the track. And he only paid $2500 for it. Which is what he sold the 300ex for. Sounds like to me you will be able to run over other quads with your Xplorer. But I just talked to a guy this morning, and he is interested in mine. So it will be gone soon hopefully!!! When I find that 250r, I'm going to have the other 400 cylinder I have resleeved, and milled to fit onto it. I've heard of it being done, so I'm going to try it.

And the frame does have a big hole where the swing arm was, so I guess it's concentric. I've had a couple of people email me about it, so I will have it on ebay this weekend.
