So......what's going on with the sport quad?

I don't check this forum regularly but I remember the September Dirt Wheels article on the Polaris sport quad. Any word? In that same issue they showed a drawing of the Suzuki and that quad will be in peoples' hands within the next week or two. This isn't a flame, just curious.

Kewl, I hope they stick to that schedule. The magazine article made it look like it showed a lot of promise. To me, the more sport quads the better! It is hard to believe that the high performance quads from the late 80's still have more performance that what is offered in 2002, i.e. 250R, Quadracer, Tecate 4. Hell, had you asked me in 1987 where we would be in 2002 it certaintly would not have included mentioning the Warrior, Banshee, Blaster, Mojave, and electric start 250X, whoops, I mean 300EX. It is absurd! We need more new sport quads. We are slowly getting there but not fast enough.

Rockrider, No one knows for sure, 'cept maybe some lawyers, about what held up performance I'd say.
They killed 3 wheelers off for safety and they may have been trying to kill off our Quads too. The EPA stepped in and cried out emissions. Snowmobile, dirtbike and Jetskit technology just kept going, but we had to wait I guess. Now as they turn their back a little and get all over the Skis' we can build some killer quads!
