Water pump

ok me and my friend was riding and the littl eheat light came on so we started pushing the beast (magnum500) a mile and a half home when we got home i chaecked all the fluids and the fan stillw orked but i rode it arode the block just real slow and the light came on again so we take it to our local polaris man and he works on it calls today and its gonan cost 900.00 to fix it the water pumo seal leaked and burnt up tthe whole water pump but my dealer said since we only had it for five months he would pay half she will be back monday has this every happened to you guys?

how new is the machine? you might still be under warranty.and what dealer are you going to?
you might be able to give polaris a call and get it replaced for free. there is no gaurantee on this ,but it's worth a shot.
$900 or even $450 is ridiculous for a water pump replacement.they are stick in it too you.
i know i use to be a polaris tech at berens outdoorsmen in roscoe illinois.and it shouldn't cost bno more then $300 with parts and labor.

the dealer was saying it really messed up the motor and it did i was there when he took it apart it was thrased and its a 2000 no warranty left
