'02 sportsman 500 300 mile and I've got .030 deep groves in both sheaves about 3/4" up. Sound excesive to you guys? Low gear when ever below 7mph and when in 4 wheel.

My dealer showed me one last January when I bought mine. EBS clutch had grooves. His was replaced under warranty. There should not be any grooves. Does your machine creep with no throttle and in gear??

thats the thing, I don't have EBS and no it doesn't creep. Dealer said he'll replace it sight unseen over the phone.

Yep! Sounds like driving at steady trail speeds under very dusty conditions or you ingested some mud and then drove at a steady speed. But it should be replaced by your dealer.
