yes there is, polaris introduced a scrambler 400 to its line in 96 with a 400 2 stroke, and they are still making the 400's today, but now a 4 stroke, (i think 4 stroke) a stock warrior and a stock scrambler 400, the scram. would win in a drag, and is a lil bit faster in top end like 5 mph. faster, maybe more.

The original Scramblers were all 4x4. The 2wd version was the SPORT. I think this changed in MY99. After MY 99 i think everything was changed to Scrambler, 2 or 4 wheel drive. The last year for the Scrambler 400 4X4 was 2000. I have one. in 2001 if you wanted a Scrambler 4x4 you had to get the 500. In 2002 POLARIS brought the 400 4x4 back as part of the special X series. The X is the exact same bike, With a special color and graphic package, Aluminum Wheels and coated exhaust. The main improvement between 2000 and 2002 is the Steering post bearing and upgraded brakes on all LATE MY01 and up bikes.
