Are there clutch buttons on the front clutch? Hate to Mr. Ignorant, but I was told my mid and topend lag might be due to "worn buttons".So I removed the three little things that engage the helix. Are these actually clutch buttons? The reason I asked is because at the site below they have a polaris atv and are pointing out buttons on the driven clutch. Please help clear this up for me!

You have buttons (or sorts) on both clutches, the driven are most likely what you are being refered to, the ramps on your helix ride on these. The buttons on the drive clutch are small round pucks that keep your spider centered. Both can and will wear, both are cheep, both require the clutch to be disassembled to replace.

Thanks seacow. Where exactly are the 'buttons' on the front clutch at?

Can the drive clutch buttons be changed without the tool to hold the clutch?
