I have a Sport 400, I've put maybe, 150 miles on it. during the brake in time I noticed that it wont run smooth. My dealer said that as I get more time on it, it will smooth out. It hasn't yet. Its had to discribe, its like a small mis or spudder. I have no loss of power, I can just hear it. This is my first 2 cycle. So is the dealer right? is this normal? Thanks

My TrailBlazer idles rough.

If you put you hand behind the muffler you get little bits of air then a big puff....

That's about useless info

I have a 2000 scrambler 2x4 I bought new and It has the same sound,It sounds like it has a bad miss at about half throttle, The dealer said that was the way a 2 stoke runs. this is my first 2 stroke to so I'm not sure, probably not much help but mine runs the same way

I have a 2 stroke dirtbike, and man do those 2 stroeks sound weird sometimes, it sometimes sounds like you are ripping the engine apart, The scrambler sounds different than my dirtbike (quieter) that is if it sounds like an Xplorer 2 stroke, It sohould be fine

I believe the sound you hear to be normal. A 2 stroke does vibrate more and does sound a lot different then a 4 stroke will.

Try stepping down from a 230 main jet to 220. My Scrambler would sputter slightly when I was getting on the gas hard. It is even more noticable if you let somebody else drive it and you stand behind and listen to it. It clears right up and runs sweet with a 220 main jet.
