You have to check the coil , plug cap , and pulse coil
( under the fly wheel ) if they meter in range it could be the CDI
but you cant test it so every other conponent has to be ruled out .
I had trouble with mine intermittently and found a poor connection
between the coil wire and cap so to be safe I replaced the coil
and wire , they come together . Latter that night I walked home .
I spoke to Rick Ritter and he suggested changing the pulse coil
Like any coil they can open or fail when hot and close and work
again when cool . I also spoke to a dealer and he told me they
had never sold a CDI , so i listened to Mr Ritter and he was
right . I you need info how to test your ignition let me know .
