2000 400exer,

As I have an older Trailblazer, I'll let the others handle the brake question. As far as the reverse is concerned, you must remember that a Polaris will go just as fast in reverse as they will forwards. The over ride button is nothing more than a safety feature thaat prevents it from doing just that (these machine handle kind of squirrelly in reverse at high speeds, trust me, I know). To get full power in reverse just hold the button down or you can disconnect it, as I did.

Your trailblazer must have a clutch kit installed if it does not go in reverse without overide. Does it engage right when you hit the throttle, or do you have to rev it up a little ways before the clutch engages. If you need to rev it up a little, that means it is clutched.

AJ took the words right out of my mouth. When stock, you can back a TB up just fine w/o touching the override button.

The small spacer goes between the two pads. I have two TB's,
a 99 and a 2000. The 99 has a clutch kit and the 00 does not.
As mentioned above, if yours has a clutch kit installed you
have to use the over-ride button to go in reverse.

2000400exer,a worn belt can also cause you to always use the reversr overide, but it is most likely aftermarket clutching.
