Looking at buying a '00 Trailboss and a Xplorer 4X4.. Is the Xplorer any good at plowing snow with the optional plow?? Never owned a ATV before.. just motorcycles.

I think any 4x4 would do a good job plowing snow. A friend of mine plows with a Kawasaki Lakota thats 2wd. With chains it does a decent job. If anything, just throw some weight on the rear rack and plow away.

My dad has had a plow on his 94 400L 4x4, and the thing works good. The only thing is he got a V-plow and the supporting arms on the sides were not very strong and broke. Now he has welded it to be just a straight plow (all a person should ever need). My recommedation would be to buy a straight plow. A buddy of mine has a Moose plow and it looks alot sturdier than the Polaris one my dad has.
