predator 500 engine builder

Who is going to be producing this motor for the upcoming predator 500? Will it be robin, which is building most or all of their motors now. I did not know robin was into high performance engines of this kind. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I was to the understanding that all polaris' have robin built engines in them.

Polaris builds some of their own engines as well. They build a 500, 600, 700, and 800 twin cylinder motors for their snowmobiles. I believe they also built the engine in their Sportsman 700. Their snowmobile engines work awesome, really tough, really fast for a twin, hopefully the motor in this Predator is built by them because if it is I'm sure it will work good.

Yeah their snowmachine motors are very strong and incredibly durable. My long track, paddle track 700 has outrun all the 800s ive raced to date. This can be seen in most head to head tests. The liberty series will out run engines that have a 100cc advantage. The new artic cat 700 in the firecat may change that though. I am adding variable exhaust to mine. V.E. was not available the year I bought mine on the rmks. It adds 14 hp in the middle of the rpm band and 8 or 9 at the top. I think I should be aproaching 145hp at the crank.

The 500 in the Predator is a Fuji built liquid cooled 499cc 4 stroke with a DOHC and a 42-MM BSR Carb. Any other info that you might want, you can find at www.predator500.com. All of the Troy Lees are sold out, but don't worry, if you want one, get to your dealer. From what I was told, each dealer is getting at least 2 of these machines that will be sold there, plus any other machines that people have ordered online and will be picked up at the dealer that they have chosen.
