I have gotten it in a bind and smoked the belt in reverse once. It did not ruin the belt. Other than that, it has had plenty of power. Changing the gearing in the tranny is so simple. It took me a while to figure out how to do it, but I've got it figured now. Do you remember the 2 sprockets connected by 520 roller chain? Well, that's what got me to thinking about lowering the gearing to the front end.
