pwk 39 keihin carb tuning/trail mod?

First off, thanks for the complement Scramblered, but I'm just an regular Joe, just havin' fun with da quad. Bubba, my clutching is as follows.
Primary: Light blue spring and 58 wts.
Secondary: Gold spring #3 hole sheave, #2 hole in the helix. HPD roller helix 42-38. I originally had the 56's in for wts, but after some of my running, and then bringing it up to HPD to get things double-checked, the wt change was recommended. We even tried a steeper helix because the engine was over-powering the clutches...complements to HPD's porting and pipe. That's also where the comment that ATV Sport made about my clutching was kinda taken offensively by HPD...they've worked hard and long to get these motors screaming.
As I said earlier, watch your clutches using those kevlar belts. The belts last, but at the mercy of bad clutch wear. With everything else changed over, I can't wait to get this thing to the strip and pull the trigger. Ben and the guys at MAC Racing just machined almost 2 more lbs off the flywheel!!!! Zoom, Zoom, BABY!!!!

Ken, I would assume you are running the polaris gold secondary spring. Makes sense that you have clutch sheaves worn down. That's a heavy weight and alot of spring to overcome on the secondary. But if that's what they had to do to get it right, so be it. Luckily, I got ahold of a very low hour bike, so maybe it will be awhile before I get into replacing. And scramblered, it you took over 4lbs off the flywheel, there would not be anything left. Rick Ritter took 2.5lbs off of mine, and it would be dangerous to go any farther than that. Bubba
