My junkie polaris was made on a thursday. If you buy an ATV that is made on a monday or friday chances are the quality won't be as good. Monday everybodies hungover and friday everyones thinking of the week end.
So in order to get a good quad check the date.

You guys can debate wheather I'm kidding or not.

As for locking out the thread, well what does that say about free speech. I might not like what rincon(or anyone else for that matter) has to say but I'll die defending his right to say it.

I also found it amusing and understood he was just bashing. Like he said we all do it to each other about our machines.

So why don't ya'all just relax, life's to short to be so serious.

My report of my experience:
1. Bought used Polaris 425 Magnum- put 750 miles on it-
nothing but oil change and chain lube.
2. Bought new SP 500 HO 2001- it has just over 500 miles-
regular service (at the dealer)- not a single problem to report-
I wash and check fluids at least every two rides-- it looks and
runs like new, some minor brush wear on the fenders--- It has
never failed to start or let me down.
3. Brought one of my best friends in to my dealer today-- He bought
a new 2002 SP 500-- great price-- great service--
4. I am waiting for a special color (Spruce green) in a 700 and I will
trade the 500. If you have not seen the Spruce green special color--
go looking-- it is beautiful-- I will get either a 700 or a neww 500 in
that color.
5. Lessons learned--the machine you choose is very important-- but it the
quality and service of your dealer that makes the total experience a joy.
If you are any where near Idaho-- give the folks at Grizzly Sports in
Caldwell a chance to show you a total service experience.

Evan, I think that is very reasonable about what day the machine is built. We've done research in my industry about what day & shift product was produced vs. the quality.

It only helps if you can shop around. Some folks live in small towns and have to travel to the nearest dealer. They pretty much take what they can get.

joking>>Maddasher is on crack<<joking
that honda must have been very old, or the guy before you totaly screwed it up good. i am curious to know what honda you had, and don't tell me it was a 300 either. i agree about the day of the week thing, DW had a write up when to get your quad made, wednesday, after coffebreak, and by a guy who got lucky the night before. (seriously they said this) i know of one guy who's had to do nothing to his sp500, and about 9 who've had trouble, this is why i don't like polaris. if everyone i knew had trouble with honda, then i wouldn't like them either. i crack jokes about my own quad all the time while ridding, like when we're comming to a big mud hole, once i said "O.K, lets see what this 'ol three wheel drive can do" stuff like that, if you can joke around like that it makes for a funner trip.

It sure is funny how people get so deffensive over junk. I mean, this is my favorite thread to read because it is the only one where people get so pi$$ed off. I would put up a fight too, but I own a Kaw! I think you should ride what you believe in, not what saves you money on the front side. Yeah, you can get a Polaris cheap, but you can also get a great deal on a Hyundai! A quad is a quad, but you don't have to argue when you ride the best!

I could tell you about the one Kawasaki I have owned and junked after 3 years because the thing kept breaking but it’s not worth my time and you’re not worth my time.

My Kaw has had problems since day one! You just don't get it do you? Well, I feel sorry for you. Is that what it takes to be a Polaris owner? No sense of humor. By the way, I solved all problems within a few days & I am now kicking total @$$!
