Reed spacers & Kimpex shocks
#1
I currently have V-Force Delta 2 reeds on my Scrambler. Is it worth putting a spacer kit in? Where do they improver power - low, mid, or top? Do they hurt power anywhere? Also, when I put the reed cage in a couple of months ago, there was a piece of paper saying to leave them set in the position they came from the factory (where the petals actually attatch to the cage via a slotted hole). Will changing this setting benefit or hurt me in any way? I forget now if they were set all the way forward or all the way back. I'm looking to get some more low end out of my Scrambler.
As far as Kimpex front shocks, are they any good? I never heard of them before and am reluctant on buying a set. Would I be better off getting a set of Fox fronts instead? Or are all of them a waste of money and the stock ones are good enough for trail riding and hill climbing?

There's debate over the reed spacer. I've run one for a couple of years with no problems. Mainly (this is from HPD)I think the problem occured when running the big bore kit. Possibly the added volume was pulling the reeds open further and tagging them on the cylinder. Also in speaking with Moto T, the makers of V-force, run the reeds at the factory settings.
As far as front struts go. Some of the best are the Works units. Fox isn't too far behind. Not sure about the Kimpex units....you get what you pay for. I know Hot Seat sells them. Give Rob a call and see what he says. Their dual rate front springs are a nice working deal also.
