<< polaris must not be thinking of anyone who is doing work with there atv (which that is what the sport-utilities like the magnum are supposed to do) I mean to drop the expedition, and magnum 500 and magnum 500 RMK and the sportsman 6x6 what is the thinking of that!!!!!?????!! only thing they droped were strait axles!!!! now what do u do work with...and what about the people who really need that 6x6 for hard work!!!!!!!and hauling! >>

umm... they didnt drop the 6x6(click link)
6x6

and i hope they come out with a re-designed mag 500, put a 600, or 700 twin engine in it, and it would be a beast.

come to think of it, they should make there ranger, and 6x6 lines, with either the 600 or 700 twin engines, they sure put out more power than the 500HO engines already in them.

This is from the reviews on Polaris's web site about the Polaris "ATV Pro 4x4".

A powerful 4-valve, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled Polaris 500 engine delivers outstanding torque and enables the ATV Pro to tow up to 1,225 pounds. And although powerful, the Polaris Professional Series ATV Pro and Light Utility Hauler 6x6 are the first and only ATVs equipped with tamper-proof technology that limits the vehicle’s top speed to 25 M.P.H. -- and keeps the worksite safe.

We want the Magnum 500 back!

i just noticed that your p650 has the cover camo, i was thinking of getting this for my kodiak, so i got a question for you, when you take it off does it leave a lot of marks, and when it gets covered in mud do you through it in the wash or what??

The camo cover I got is from Kawasaki. I do like it a lot. I had to take out the screws that held the mudguards and replace them with snaps. But now the entire cover snaps on in about 5 minutes.

It does not leave any marks. It fits very tight so it will not flap around at high speeds whether riding or hauling on my trailer. It offers great protection.

As far as washing its very easy. I just let the mud cake in the sun and it flakes right off. The only real mud spraying I have to do is the underside.

thanks, i might get some for my Kodiak. Do you mind telling me how much it cost you? if i get it i will do it like you did, straight from the company that makes my quad (Yamaha) because that universial crap dosen't always "fit all"

Yeah, with something like that, go direct and not universal. I paid $199.00 for the entire camo set which included the seat cover. Check the list price online with the manufacturer. The dealer may try to be higher than that price or right on. Then make them take 20% off. They usually will.

Guys, it's all about sales. Magnum 500's overall sat on the showroom floor. I liked them too, but many times the price had to be dropped so much to sell them that there was no point in having them. Scrambler 400 4x4 too. I loved that machine, but if it doesn't sell... And for the 6x6, same thing. Rangers (4x4 & 6x6) and selling in HUGE numbers. Many many converts from ATV riders, and most 6x6 buyers end up wanting a Ranger now once driving them.

The IRS is still hard working. Even if you loose half your ground clearance due to heavy load or tongue, you still have as much as a straight axle machine.

Like I said in another post, speak what you want through your buying dollars. You think the special edition Scrambler 400's are because of demand? It's to help clear inventory. Many many people love Camaros and Firebirds, but a lot more buy Mustangs.

The same goes for other brands. Origonally the the Foreman 450 was going to replace the Foreman 400. Same for the 300/400ex. But the demand stayed there for those machines, so they kept making them.
