Hi folks, I'm hoping someone here can give me a little advice... I bought a rear twin tube from a Polaris dealer for my new (02) SP500 today, but it won't bolt up!
It will bolt up to my wife's '00 325 Mag (so that's where it is right now!), but the rear on my 500 is set up different.

My 500 doesn't have a tubular setup, it's a deep U-channel that's been formed kinda in a "Y" shape, with three holes pre-drilled on each side. The bottom frame members are also odd, about 3/4" or so square tubing, open at the rear end (each side of the trailer ball mount).

The dealers around here are all closed now, and it's Saturday night (of course), so I can't call to ask what's up with this here thing....

Anyone around who could enlighten me about this?

TYVM

i bought a rear tube bumper for my sp500ho....only 2 bolt holes lined up had to drill the other holes to match the bumper,,,,what a joke,,,ive s heard of 4 different ways to mount the rear bumper,,why cant polaris keep the tubing the same so these bumpers will fit right..
if you bought the bumper from the same place you got your machine, the dealer should have known if it would fit,,yea right...lol...
i took the black tube bumper that came on my 500 off and put a red bumper on that i order from polaris,,it mounted the same way,,but the 4 holes were not the same???????the top holes were off by 1/4 inch... the bumpers are the same except the hole pattern was alittle different...
why i dont know,,

For some reason, the 2002's are made both ways. The only part that is different is the rear rack mount. They make bumpers for both.
