I'm looking at getting some new tires and wheels for my 99 sportsman 335. What is the biggest tire I can use without doing damage to other parts of this machine. I was looking at the Tri-Claw. I was also looking at getting some aluminum wheels to keep the weight factor down. Can anyone give me some insight into this??

If I were You,I'd put 25x8x12 on the front and 25x11x10 on the back. Thats the stock 500 sizes. Any bigger would tax the 335 engine too much.
But, I'm not you, put what you like on.

You asked for opinions so I’ll give you mine. If you don’t want to be driving around in low all the time stay away from the big mud tires and compare aftermarket tire weights to stock weights before you decide.

If it were mine I wouldn’t put anything over 25” rubber on it, and because I’ve owned them and like them I’d be mounting up a set of Kenda Bear Claws on those aluminum wheels. 12.5” wide rears and 8” wide fronts. The claws are one of the most capable, best all around handling lightest weight 4-ply tires on the market. I had them on my SP500 and my wife has them on her Mag500.

Just remember, opinions are worth what you pay for them.
