I know its been on here before can anyone tell me if an auto tach will work and any other install help on the 99 500?

I am told to turn it around 6500'rs stock. I am into the weights now and need to pick up a tach. I have read something bout a digital Briggs and stratton tach and also a auto tach. What works? Thanx tomtcat@hotmail.com

Auto tachs will not work unless you find one to pick up 6 pulses per revolution. The Westach unit will do that.

Default Tach on a 99/500 scrambler. Any help? Which one?

get a TINYTACH
updates once per second and installs with twowires
one for ground and the other wrapped around the pulg wire
regardless of what the instructions say only wrap the lead around the plug wire four times to prevent tach from locking up
