Has anyone heard of anyone putting a Frontier 780 snowmobile cylinder/piston set on a Sportsman 700? The head and base gaskets are the same so I suspect it would work.

the bore is the same, but the 780 engine has alot more stroke.
umm erre it was either 9 or 13 more miliimetes...

a better bet is to see if the fronteir runs a different camshaft..

plenty of gains can be had from a full pipe, bigger carb, airbox mods, and a clutch kit..

and if ya wanna tear into the engine the compression ratio is very very low, and the intake and exhaust ports are pretty restrictive, and have lots of casting flaws.

I want to see someone put the whole Frontier motor in the SP700. I think the extra cc's and fuel injection might make it a little more powerful.

When I first saw this Kawi 700, I just had to think a Kawi's version of the Scrambler. Now that another manufacture has made there own Scrambler, maybe Polaris can finally revamp the 8-year design of the current model. How about a-arm front suspension and yes an 800 twin would be awesome.

Its not a 4x4, but that's an idea for the kawa team. Personally, I think they should've put that into the works when they decided to go with an auto tranny and shaft drive.
