Speedometer on sportsman 500 does not work! No display in the digital area as well. Any Ideas???

I've also got a broken digital speedometer. The solution is to buy a new one ($200.00). The dealer tells me they are not repairable, just disposable! Mine still registers the miles. Needless to say it will just stay the way it is.

if the digital part still shows miles and hours, it could be the pick up on the front hub. I lost speedo and miles would not change, that is what it ended up being.
