Anyone know how to get the primary off without purchasing the puller. Ive seen people hear saying something about using a trailer ball and threaded rod. Has anyone tried this?

I've mentioned it on here before. I used a 2" trailer ball that was fine threaded. Then use a 3/8" extension with a socket. Stick it in the shaft coming out of the primary, and screw in your trailer ball. The bolt on the ball will press on the ext. which presses on the shaft, as the ball pulls out on the clutch, and then it will pop right off. I've done it many times with this method.

Buy a puller you don't have to mass up the threads with the ext. about $14.00

hot seat performance sells them for $20. use the ball and extension with socket method. just tighten down on the ball with a pipe wrench until you meet extreme resistance. now just take a hammer and lightly tap on the ball. presto it will take off the most stubborn clutches.

Make sure you buy the trailer ball with the smaller 3/4" diameter shaft.
