bought a 02 sportsman 700 last saturday, planning ahead for this weekend knowing i would be going up north and i would be able to use it. sunday woke up checking over things on my new machine, found gas leaking from bottom of tank. took it in monday, dealer said theyd get to it tomorrow with an easy fix, called today they said the fix didnt work and they would have to order a part and it would take 4-5 days, now my whole weekend is screwed up and im just a little p.o

I would tell them either take a tank out of another 700, or demand a new one. If you let them order new parts, they will think your not in to much of a hurry to get it back. Tell them you bought it for this weekend trip that was planed a long time ago. Then say, I didn't just pay $7000 on a quad so it can sit and wait for parts, then demand to see owner and get a new one. Don't take no as a answer.

Ya, I would not sit there and wait. Go to them and raise hell if you have to
I dont know what is with some dealers, my dealer is the coolest dealer in the world, he is nice, cheap, and does not waist time.
When I needed a part for my ds, the dealer dint have any, so they just took it off of one of there other ds's and put it on mine...
Hope you get to go riding!

dude you need to jump up and down. call polaris and raise enough hell until they take the tank off another quad and put it on yours. call polaris everyday and your dealer to. your weekend shouldn't be spoiled when the dealer can bend just a little and have you back going. good luck!!!!!
