I need a better way to get my Polaris machines to boonies. Right now I put one in the bed of the half-ton truck and the other two nose to tail on 5x13 angle-iron single-axle trailer.

Problems with this set-up:
1. Must unload and unhook trailer to get the last Polaris out.
2. Too much axle / suspension load on the truck with this arrangement.
3. No trailer brakes (almost over-ran a tanker coming off the mountain on the 'Pig trail' highway in Arkansas due to brake fade on my rig.)

Plans:
1. Get a trailer w/ trailer brakes
2. Keep the half-ton truck

Questions:
1. Should I stick with the nose-to-tail loading strategy (narrower trailer = better gas mileage).
2. What do all of you do to transport multiple ATVs
3. Do any of you have side-loading trailers? Pros / cons?
4. Who sells the side-loading trailers (web-sites?)
5. Are they really side-loading or do they load the front 4-wheeler sideways and two more nose to tail?
