1. How much does a stock Trailboss, Trailblazer frame weigh?

2. Does anyone make an aftermarket frame for the Polaris quads with the concentric drive? If they do How much$$$$?

I guess what I am looking for is someone that would make a lighter frame with the stock frame geometry and would accept the scrambler or my stock TBoss suspension. Would my motor & tranny fit into another frame(400ex, Mojave, blaster, etc)?

Has anyone tried putting a Polaris drivetrain into a different type frame?

I could tell you how my Sport frame weighs if I had a scale, but I don't

HPD does, but you don't want to buy. I think it was somewhere in the $15000 range. Not for sure though???

If you wanted to get another frame, you would want to ditch the struts. But no, no one makes a lighter frame except HPD. And you couldn't stick the motor in another frame. Believe me many people would have done it already. Including me!!! It would be ok if you didn't have the tranny separate, but it takes a longer frame, plus an offset swing arm. (I wish I could see the HPD frame up close so I could see how they designed there swing arm)

If no one has, I will be the first in the beginning of 2003. MX'ing will never be the same!!!

HPD rolling chassis with triple rates was 9 grand. The frame must ride for you or something.

I was thinking of trying to move the my scrambler two stroke onto a 250R or banshee frame. Do you think this is possible? I really hate the heavy front suspension on Polaris'. Does anyone know where I could buy a used quad without the engine?

HPD has put a 400 combo into a 250r frame if I'm not mistaken. I think it would be cool. It really comes down to your gonna spend money one way or another to get one of these bikes really screaming. Shedding weight is ALWAYS more beneficial than adding power.I have 2 words: Chromoly and Titanium.LOL Bubba

Only reason I asked was if I spent the money on the RCR bore kit, cam, and different exhaust for my TBoss this winter then my next project would br reducing my weight. I wanted to see what options I had available with frames.

Sounds like I might as well sell my quad and get a Warrior or KFX. gotta have reverse
